Location of Video Shoot

One of our locations we decided to take the shot was a car park in Thornton Heath, this was to create a urban feel to the music video and also follow some conventions found in current music videos in the genre like flashy cars and also spending a lot of time on the streets. This creates a intimidating look especially if the video is shot whilst its dark.
Another location we decided to shoot our video is in a room just like this, preferably with minimal furniture in the background. This is to allow the performers to be them and use the space to create an intimidating look by making full use of the space also following conventions in the genre.

Useful videos - Lights Film School

Lights film school on youtube provide many useful videos on framing and composition of filming to different shot types and angles. I found some of the videos increasingly useful as I feel they would help AS level as well as A2.

As well as this basic video, I felt the videos below can help when producing our music video as they talk about colour temperature which we wish to play around with to give different effects (gloom and happiness) and also lighting is useful to be able to create intensity within our music video.

Music Video Conventions

This music video features a range of different shots from extreme close ups and low angle shots. The video also features slow motion which I quite like which creates an effect which immediately intrigues the audience. Another aspect which also does this is the choreography which, if it trends, can boost the publicity and popularity of the song as well as the video.

Preliminary Video

This is a recreation of the beginning scene of Britney Spears' famous single "...Baby one more time". We filmed this with a Sony Handycam HDRcx240e. This is a small handheld camera making it easier to edit and film in our school since we have limited space. It also made it easier to film the lower angle shots.
